Hidden Hall - Hidden Spaces opens up Birmingham again

This week sees the annual Hidden Spaces celebration of the lost and forgotten history of Birmingham following last years fabulous event, http://birminghamcentral.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/no-longer-hidden-birmingham.html.

Many of the activities taking place this week sold out weeks ago as people clamoured to see Digbeth's Gun Barrel Proof House and Digbeth's historic pubs but there is still activities to enjoy and buildings to explore.  The exhibition of photos and information about Birmingham's Hidden Spaces often sits in a much loved but often inaccessible building and this year gives visitors the opportunity to see inside the three storey Grade II* listed Methodist Central Hall on Corporation Street, http://www.hidden-spaces.co.uk/eventsmain/2016/6/17/methodist-central-hall-open-days-and-exhibition.  The hall was the 'local men's answer to the law courts', http://www.birminghampost.co.uk/news/local-news/hidden-spaces-methodist-central-hall-10644823, and it's opening will provide visitors who may have visited the Victoria Law Courts opposite in June 2015 a contrast to that palace of justice with the methodist roots of the hall.

The Methodist Central Hall building will be open daily from 10am until 4pm between 17th and 26th June.  Entry is free.

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June will see the Edwardian Moseley Road Baths opened as part of the Hidden Spaces event giving visitors the opportunity to see the beautiful and important part of Birmingham social history, http://www.birminghampost.co.uk/business/commercial-property/hidden-spaces-moseley-road-baths-10649745.

Moseley Road Baths are open from 10am until 3pm on Saturday 18th and from 10am until 1pm on Sunday 19th.
