Golden academic shine

On March 10th 2016 I noted the new University of Birmingham library under construction nearing completion, http://birminghamcentral.blogspot.com/2016/03/greater-things-from-hard-work.html.

The first book was placed in the research reserve, on the lower ground floor area, at the beginning of May in an area which will be home to 50km of the University's heritage and low use print collection, http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/news/latest/2016/05/new-library-book-move-begins.aspx.  The moving of over 62km of books and journals from the old to new library will see books on the open access shelving only moved after exams have finished.

All books should be moved by July ahead of the new library opening which is due to open in August 2016.

The following photos show the library on the 16th May.
