Chamberlain Hall December Construction Update

Work is continuing on the University of Birmingham's Chamberlain Hall student residence with work progressing steadily since my last update of October, http://birminghamcentral.blogspot.com/2014/10/chamberlain-hall-construction-october.html

The small tower has reached level 7 while the larger tower has reached level 11.  Window frames are being installed on the main tower as well as the linear blocks and brickwork has started on the tower block.

Wit the tower now rising fast it is starting to return to the skyline with it visible from Birmingham City Football Club's ground and adding scale to Church Road.

The redeveloped student hall will accommodate 726 students and it is hoped that by January 2015 all the concrete frames of the three blocks will be complete and 75% of the tower completed with all blocks near to completion and ready to be fitted out by April 2015, http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/undergraduate/accommodation/Chamberlain-Redevelopment-News-.aspx
