March to deadline for Metro extension Works

With the recent announcement of government funding for the Midland Metro extension, New Street Station February update, with Centro receiving £75 million towards the £129 million project, tenders have been announced with a deadline of the 11th March as Centro looks to start rapidly on the extension; Midland Metro call for tenders.

Tenders for work include construction of additional stabling sidings, new pipelines, communication and power lines and tramline construction work.
