Bus run

With the Birmingham Half Marathon imminent, Marathon by Half 2010, buses in South Birmingham face diversions to avoid the route with routes reopening throughout the afternoon as runners finish the race.

The following diversions and route amendments are taking place but all diversion information can be found on the National Express West Midlands website: http://www.nationalexpress.com/westmidlands

Service 1: Will terminate in Moseley until 12:30. Between 12:30 and 15:30 will terminate at Five Ways. The following roads are NOT served until Edgbaston Road reopens at approx 12:30: Salisbury Road, Edgbaston Road, Priory Road, Church Road. Between 12:30 and 14:00 Priory Road and Church Road are only served towards city. Returns to normal route at approx 15:30.

Services 11A and 11C: Normal route to Cotteridge, then via Northfield Road, Bunbury Road, Northfield High Street and Bristol Road to Selly Oak. The following roads are NOT served until Linden Road reopens at approx 11:00: Linden Road, Oak Tree Lane. Return to normal line of route approx 11:00.

Service 35: Normal route to Moseley, then via Alcester Road to city centre. The following roads are NOT served until Belgrave Middleway opens at approx 13:30: Salisbury Road, Willows Road, Hallam Street, Lincoln Street, Clevedon Road, Longmore Street, Horton Square, Gooch Street, Sherlock Street. Return to normal line of route approx 13:30.

Services 45 and 47: Normal route to Cotteridge, then via Fordhouse Lane and Vicarage Road to Kings Heath, then via Alcester Road to Priory Queensway, where the 45 & 47 will terminate. Between approx 10:00 and 13:30 the 45 & 47 will terminate in Kings Heath and passengers will be transferred onto the 35 & 50 services to travel into Birmingahm. The following roads are NOT served until Pershore Road reopens at approx 13:30: Pershore Road (between Fordhouse Lane and Belgrave Middleway), Sherlock Street. Return to normal line of route approx 13:30.

Service 50: Those services that normally serve Priory Queensway and Moor Street Queensway will continue to do so (except the 50, which will terminate on Park Street). See Operational Order for more details.

Service 76: Normal route to Kings Heath, then via Vicarage Road, Pershore Road, Middleton Hall Road, Northfield High Street and Bristol Road to Selly Oak. The following roads are NOT served until Pershore Road reopens at approx 13:30: Avenue Road, Dads Lane, Warwards Lane, Raddlebarn Road, Dawlish Road, Bournbrook Road, Bristol Road (Selly Oak/Bournbrook High Street). Return to normal line of route approx 13:30
