Tallest outside London to crown Birmingham's Broad Street



Following the announcment at MIPIM 2009 of Birmingham City Council's ambition for Regal Tower to crown Birmingham's Broad Street the Council approved the plans on the 22nd April for the tower which at 200 metres high will be the tallest building outside of London; Go ahead for Birmingham’s Regal Tower, £125 million Regal Tower gets go ahead. The 56 storey tower will include a hotel, 256 apartments, three floors of penthouse apartments , shops and basement parking with a bar, restaurant and meeting rooms.

He said it would take three years to build, creating 300 construction jobs and once complete 400 permanent jobs.


The tower, designed by Aedas Architects, will be developed by Regal Property Group with work expected to start in the coming year to 2011 and take 3 years to complete.
